I think what makes a watch a good fit for the NATO strap is that it tends to be 38mm to 40mm, less than 10mm thick and of a simple design. Most Hamilton watches look good with a NATO strap. Inexpensive Citizen, Timex, really too many to name, also. This Timex comes with a leather strap, but would not look out of place with a NATO strap.

Love single straps, hate natos. As the topic title says. Single straps are incredibly useful and versatile to interchange on a watch head but I can't stand nato (and zulu) straps. Like many people, it's the damn bulky side-tuck that grinds my gears. On thicker watches, the double strap layer also isn't great.

I've tried quite a few straps and lot of the recommended ones on reddit and other forums and I always feel this weird sensation like my wrist is being squeezed from the sides and it bothers me. I thought I'd get used to it but it feels really weird even though I like the aesthetic.
